Commercial Aircraft Identification Chart

An easy tool to help you identify the manufacturer and type of equipment that we fly and see in the skies today.
  • Start at the lower left of chart. Determine if aircraft has a prop, T-Tail, or jet engine.
  • Follow the yes of no directions for winglets, two, three and four engines.
  • Other determinate factors to help you to follow in upcoming blog post.

Felix Baumgartner made history this morning. He jumped out of a capsule from the edge of space and landed safely on his feet.
The Redbull Stratos team has accomplished an amazing feat. Felix Baumgartner broke the record for highest altitude Jump and fastest freefall.

It was an amazing thing to watch live. It was awesome.
I miss central time.

I miss Football at noon.
I miss tons of Irish bars.
I miss every type of restaurant ever without having to leave the city limits.
I miss the cold.
I miss traffic.
I miss people.
I miss every culture ever.
I miss Wrigley.
I miss my home town.
I hate Fresno.

I hate time zones. Not because of jet lag, but because I am still drinking and partying but everyone back home is already sleeping.

A dissapointed Felix Baumgartner after high winds made the RedBull Stratos team abort the mission.

Nothing will stop Baumgartner from skydiving from the edge of space.

From the time of this post, the countdown is a little over 16 hours for Felix Baumgartners second attempt at making history and becoming the most bad ass person on the planet.

Free falling through the atmosphere at 700 mph will certainly be beyond.

Space Shuttle Endeavor moves through streets of LA

Space Shuttle Endeavor on the street

Space Shuttle Endeavor in Los Angeles.
Today and for the next two days Space Shuttle Endeavor will move at 2 mph through the streets of Los Angeles to it's permanent resting place. Aside from the sacrifice of many of the cities roadside trees, the only other issue appears to be the forced closure of Randy's Donuts. The citizens of LA have endured many  historical and cultural trials in the past. Let's hope they endure this donut loss with the same grace they have shown us in the past.

Shaky but Agile

My first time flying in a propeller plane.

This steel bird was agile but very shaky and noisy.

I like Jet engines.

"Where is My Mind"

Somewhere far from the surly bonds of earth. Somewhere....Beyond.

Into the solemn hush
The old horse will know the way
When one sings all will follow
Standing up faintly against the sky
